This restaurant was a hidden surprise for us. It's in a tiny strip mall off the main drag. Very unassuming and simple decor, but the food and service was amazing. I had the Malcajete and my husband had the Ticos dinner. Both were so delicious to describe. View all feedback.

Service was lacking and food was incredibly bland . I get they are understaffed but waitress hardly checked on us and food was cold. Kids chicken strips were fried so hard the meat was yellow and you could barely cut it with a knife. Told the waitress it was our kids birthday and she said they would come out and sing for him, have a big sombrero, bring some ice cream, etc . Awesome, he will love it right ? After wait... I've waited a while before I wrote this review just to make sure it is accurate. We have been here several times now and I have been very happy each time with the food. It is delicious! Now the salsa has cilantro in it and I'm not a fan of that, but the food is so good I can pick out a few pieces of cilantro!! Oh and can't wait for Taco Tuesday!!!! Update:Taco Tuesday was a disappointment, cold food and then drinks arrived after we were done eating. Will go back but not for Taco Tuesday......ever. yes I took away 1 star for that night but every other time was excellent.
We LOVE this place. Prompt service and great food. The server we often have remembers our orders and comes back frequently to our table to keep our drinks filled, salsa supplied etc. Our orders are always done correctly with our tweaks to everything we order. We eat here all the time
The new spot is amazing!!! Love the decor and memories of the Old Mississippi Flyway! But brighter! Gil is awesome bartender and great host! We will always come back especially now at new location!
Taco shells were stale didn't get order correct and service is extremely slow teach your help customer service in English sorry won't be back

After waiting and hour for our food the waitress comes by says she is going on a break somebody will probably check on us (they didn't and here is the check . Why even say you doing anything ? Multiple families got up and left because service was so bad. Would take a lot to bring he back after this mess. On the plus side they did knock the kids food off the bill.
