What Kian Hamill likes about Paradise Beach Grille:
(Monday) Wife I plus our 5 years old. We sat outside on the back terrace during the early evening sunset (5:30p). The weather was perfect (last warm day of the year I believe). Crayons and color paper kept him busy, and the service seemed fast and correct. The staff saw everyone present and the surfing was good. We both added a strength to block the meal, as it only came with vegetables. Overall, we ate a perfect time as the restaurant filled, as we finished eating and running out. Overall we had a good unforgettable culinary experience. What Cager Puspita doesn't like about Paradise Beach Grille:
Of the half dozen restaurants on scenic Capitola Esplanade Paradise Grille is one of the top two. They have an extensive menu with plenty of variety, and a good cocktail and wine list. The handful of prized outdoor seats are not comfortable but is right on the Soquel Creek rivers end with photographable views of the beach. Indoor seating is pleasant but noisy. Our server was pleasant and the food was good by tourist... View all feedback.

read moreParadise Grille in Capitola offers a mix of high and low points, combining excellent dishes like chimichurri chicken and flavorful salt and pepper shrimp with less successful menu items such as dry salmon and clams swimming in butter instead of a wine broth. The setting is bustling and crowded, making it less than ideal for those seeking a quiet, intimate dining experience. While the prices are reasonable and the service is generally good, locals see it as more of a spot for out-of-town guests than a regular haunt. Regardless, the restaurant has earned a reputation as one of the top dining options in the Capitola area, with a varied menu, good cocktail and wine selection, and a handful of coveted outdoor seats overlooking the scenic Soquel Creek. It may not be perfect, but Paradise Grille offers a solid dining experience with plenty of highlights to enjoy.
