Not sure how I ended up here, but it was a great evening until early morning. Some great people know, forget to take names and numbers. Staff are friendly and really great characters. Will be one of the days again. View all feedback.
The best place in ct. cheap drinks, great vibes and a chessboard they can borrow incase they feel frisky.

I went to Shack 25 years ago and yes... I am an old man now, but the mood and management is still the same fantastic quality.
Had a great mood, people were nice and good drinks prices
The Shack is all about oldskul western rock culture, with 2 floors in the building, consisting of 4 bars of which one (by the main entrance) is a non-smoking bar. The Shack offers a great space for those who enjoy a good game of pool, soft rock, food, great drinks and for one to meet and mingle with the down to earth folks of Cape Town. They serve awesome drinks with a smile and a kickass pizza to pair. They used to close at 2am back in the days and now recently they secured a license that allows for their doors open until 4am. Their parking space is not friendly on the tyres and could use abit of flattening however one tends to forget about all that ones you meet the friendly staff. The security or rather bouncers make you feel like you could leave your cellphone on a table, rush to the loo and still find it where you left it, however this is still Mzansi and friend I strongly advise against it. Unlike most bars in the city of Cape Town, The Shack's management don't sit in a private room hidden away privately from its crowd, the management and it's overseers do get involved in a game or 2 of pool with their customers of which in my opinion that sort of humane touch in a business makes one feel welcome and leave feeling like money well spent. I'm not a huge fan of rock music but, the absence of my favourite genre of music over a drink truly makes the heart grow fonder.
