Taste Of Thailand - Cape Town Central

Taste of Thailand never disappoints. This was my second visit and the food was as good as the first visit. The different flavours of the many dishes was a gastronomic adventure. The curries are a must if you love spicy food, otherwise stick to the stir fries. The coconut soup, the dim sum were all also divine. Order a few main dishes to share with rice for the table, then prepare yourself for a taste explosion!

The flavor of the sweet and sour chicken didn’t disappoint. The sauce is a rich plum save. The egg fried rice was not spared. We had more than enough. The spring rolls were light and flaky and stuffed with vegetables and meat.

The food is super tasty. One of the few places in CT that gives you authentic thai with the spices and fish sauce on the side. The waiting staff are lovely. Would definitely recommend

Never disappointed with the food excellent, tasty and great portions. Atmosphere is an authentic nod to Thailand. Unfortunately, the few wait staff they have can barely cope when the restaurant is at capacity. For better service, I would suggest trying to go during the week when the restaurant is not as busy. Either that, or the restaurant needs more wait staff for the busy nights. On one occasion, we were also not happy about only being told at the end of our meal that the card machine is not working and we needed to either EFT or pay cash (more cash than what the average person would carry on them). To the restaurant, please get SnapScan as a backup option to assist with the inconvenience.

My husband and I lived in Thailand for a long time and eating here took us right back to Thailand, super authentic, Thai chefs which makes all the difference! After a lot of research trying to find good Thai food in Cape Town, this is top of our list! Aroi Mak!
