Contribute FeedbackA quaint restaurant located near the fishing boats for fresh seafood, serving quality dishes in a simple manner. While some had mixed experiences with slow service and limited menu options, many enjoyed the lobster dishes and fish cakes. The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff is attentive and accommodating. With a menu that includes popular local dishes like poutine and fish and chips, it's a good choice for a quick meal. Despite some minor issues with billing and ordering, the overall consensus is that Halabolina is a charming spot to enjoy classic comfort food like burgers and fried seafood.
Great place to eat and relax, owner is daughter and mother. they also love the concept of the tables. clean and friendly.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. The patio offered a lovely view. The bilingual waitress made ordering easy. The prices were reasonable.
We ended up here by default, since the Plongee Alpha, across the road, was really busy, and it was taking a while to get served. No complaints, it's just that our kids were getting tetchy and the 3 year old was on the verge of...a tantrum, so we left our table at Alpha and went across the road to the Halabolina for grilled cheese sandwich and fish and chips. Service was lighting-quick. Food was typical fast food, served on the patio, overlooking some nice sand dunes. They have soft or hard ice cream too. Just what the doctor ordered.
Great option for burger and fried seafood. not the healthiest, but certainly very tasty and affordable. lobster roll and fried muscheln were best we on the island horns. fish and chip were great. the decor is funny and different. we all enjoyed our dinner and the service was nice. very small options on this side of the islands, but the trip worth!
I was surprised to read the previous criticisms of this place. We had a fantastic lunch here with 4 out of 4 delicious meals. We arrived before the rush and were amazed at how quickly the restaurant filled up. The lobster sandwich was excellent, the fish cake was even better, and the service was top-notch. The only downside was that they were busy by the time we left. It's a shame about the negative experiences of the reviewer with the bus tours, but they are unfortunately a necessary evil in the tourism industry.
