The Parrot - Canterbury

I stumbled on this beautiful old pub when I was on a hunt with my niece and nephew. one of the oldest inns in england, the papagei is a beautiful, cozy place-full character- There was even a beautiful roaring fire. eating was exactly what they expect to be-pub grub. absolutely nothing wrong with it. good choice of beer. I was glad they had whitstable ale on the hahn. friendly staff helped us to feel relaxed and welcomed.

This is a great little pub. There are wooden beams throughout showing this buildings age. The food was fantastic, it came to the table hot and the staff were very friendly. You will not be disappointed if you want to visit a little pub tucked away in Canterbury city.

Historic pub serving a decent Sunday Roast close to the cathedral. They have a nice private courtyard where it’s fun to sit eat on sunny days.

It was my first time in an authentic British pub (had been dreaming to visit one for a long time). The interior is very nice and old-style, but the food is modern and delicious. The portions aren’t too big, which I liked, the beer is amazing. Recommended!
