Fantastic location, there are 2 floors and an outdoor seating. The staff is very helpful. They don't accept cash( assume due to covid). They also do have a nice selection of cakes View all feedback.
What Mandipoos doesn't like about Canteen:
Staff friendly and welcoming. Drinks served were tepid. Wobbly table sent drinks everywhere, staff happy to replace, requested drinks to be hotter. Still serviced them tepid. Overpriced for the size of the cups. Sort out the wobbly table because you were aware it was an issue as you informed us this happens! View all feedback.
Very welcoming place! We loved the cold brew, it's a must-try but i would suggest to avoid using a plastic cup when it's not for a take-away.
We keep coming back to this coffee shop when we are in Canterbury. The coffee is superb and the cakes utterly delicious. The vegan carrot cake has to be tried. You would never know it is vegan! The staff are always so friendly and the 'loo with a view ' is well worth a visit!
It was our first stop in Canterbury on an early, wintry, weekend morning for a delicious gingerbread cruffin and coffee. It's a cosy cafe where you can watch the passerbys on the cobblestone street beyond while indulging in a pastry and hot tea or coffee.
I saw quite a lot of good reviews about this place so I went out of my way to try it. I was quite disappointed. The coffee wasn’t the best and for £3.60 a small cup was given which wasn’t even filled to the top. A real shame and I hope that this was a one of as the reviews seem great.
Drinks are good as are snacks. But some staff just so obviously don’t want to be there and I’d love to go without being bombarded with music which is too loud to enjoy whilst sitting in what is a small space. We’d come here more often that we do but it’s pretty annoying
