Rose Crown Pub - Canmore

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant and pub. there were not many places that were open late on a weekday in canmore so that we came to rose and crown as there were still food served. we were hungry and I hadn't expected much. but eating was quite expensive and it was quite delicious. I'll be back in a definitiw!

Most diners were out on the patio while we were there (6-8). Tables need shade. People were struggling to see their dining partners across the table due to sun in their eyes. That said great food

The place deserves a visit just for the view. The food portions are big and pricy, however, they taste very good. The seats outside are not comfortable for long stays, otherwise the place is worth visiting!

Well I'm going to give two stars because the waitress was great, and the ambience of music was quiet enough (outside at lunch time on a Wednesday) that we were able to relax. Now that's out of the way... the food. Outrageous priced for next to slop. My poutine came out cold and the cheese was just lumpy and was not going to melt. Sent back to the kitchen round two was better but came back as a much smaller portion than the first set. For $16... I swear they were just McCain thin fries... not worth it at all. Second... my wife's fish and chips were soggy. Crispy batter? NOPE!! soggy batter and the fish was mediocre. I had a coffee, she had water. Total was over $40 plus tip. I mean... I've had way nicer meals for less. The food should be a ZERO STARS....
