We have tried to visit this restaurant before on trips but went last night. OMG. Everything was exceptional. Yummy The lamb superb. The coconut soufflé beyond anything I could imagine. Wow!!!! Loved every second of it View all feedback.
I received an attentive experience while dining here for my birthday. I had a reservation for 1 but Alberto and the rest of the staff, including the manager, was so attentive I felt like I was dining with old friends. for about $108 USD you can dine on the beach in a casita. The sound of the waves crashing up on the shore paired with the yummy food and the attention of the waitstaff made for a very memorable dinner. So memorable I'm looking forward to dining again!
We wanted to experience a private dinner on the beach at sunset. It didn’t disappoint! The menu isn’t extensive but the food was delicious and the staff was exceptional. They were attentive and knowledgeable. Everything was excellent! The sound of the waves rushing to shore and the drape of fabric made this a very private dinner. A few people walking along the shore was seen but other than that it was us and the wait staff. What could be better?
Planned a surprise birthday dinner for my fiancé and it turned out the way I wanted it. I requested for Moses and he went above and beyond to make our evening special. He’s the best and took our pictures. Food was excellent. Best romantic dinner we’ve had. This is one unforgettable experience. Everything was just PERFECT!!! One for the books and will definitely do it again.
Another great restaurant ruined by lazy management and poor service! Casitas was a restaurant on the beach at the Ritz Carlton. It had a laid back atmosphere. But it was still very classy. They had nice high tables, cozy tall chairs that a woman would feel comfortable sitting on in her $700 dress, etc.. Now, it is staffed by low class Mexican men that should be working at a small mom and pop taco restaurant in downtown Cancun. They got rid of the nice tables and chairs and replaced them with literally plastic pool patio furniture that you can buy at Walmart. The food was not that good either. And to top it off, at the end of your meal you can look forward to an over bearing waiter hovering over you and asking how much of a tip you want to leave him. And reminding you 7 times that the tip is not included in the price. Shameful that they ruined this place. It was one of our favorites.
Casitas is the restaurant that The Caribe Bar Grill turns into in the evening. When staying at the Ritz Carlton, it shows as 2 places but it's the same location with different menus. In the evening, you can rent a cabana for around $100 to have a very romantic dinner directly on the beach in front of the hotel. We chose to just dine on the outdoor terrace. The reason for only 4 stars was upon arrival (after being in contact with the hotel prior to our visit), the hostess asked about allergies. We told them we needed gluten free options for my 22 year old daughter. She made a note and we were seated. When taking our order, I inquired about gf options and the first and only thing offered was a salad. Very disappointing! After further inquiries and discussion, we were able to get more options. They even brought out gf bread with a separate dipping oil. We also ordered gf sweet potato fries and without asking, the server told us they would be fried in its own oil to avoid cross contamination. Yes, they absolutey turned the evening around but Marriott makes it seem like they will happily do accommodations over email, etc and when you actually get on property, it's a bit of work to find someone who can actually help you. Food was amazing and daughter left happy!
