La Palapa Belga - Cancún

Para pasar una linda noche, riquisima comida y muy buena atención. Además de todo un espectàculo la vista preciosa de la bahia. Excelente lugar. Super recomendable.

Don't! Don't believe the reviews. This place is disgusting. Don't waste cab ride, the money or the time. We left, food uneaten, and RAN to somewhere clean and with fresh food. It may have been 'the hidden gem' in the day, now it's a one way ticket to the American hospital. Steer clear!

Un petit restaurant super sympa, au bord de la Laguna de Nichupte, en début de soirée était parfait pour déguster des moules frites arrosé avec un petit vin blanc bien frappé. Les moules étaient légèrement trop cuites mais tout était parfait. Notre serveur Eric était parfait, attentionné très professionnel. Nous avions un musicien Jazzy en plus pour donner une ambiance particulière à notre dîner. Ce n'est pas le grand luxe, mais nappes en tissus, serviettes idem. Une bonne adresse dans un lieu tranquille, loin de la foule !

Notre serveur Eric, charmant et efficace, les moules legetement trop cuites mais les frites impressionnantes, le tout était parfait '

We had been looking forward to visit La Palapa Belga for sometime. We have traveled to Cancun several times but just haven't made it there. Once we arrived which is a bit out of the way, we were welcomed by a female employee who sat us and was very attentive in the beginning. The restaurant is quaint but a bit run down. Once a few more couples showed up we were all but forgotten. The meal we ordered came out cold (which we sent back to heat up) My wife's meal was a seafood stew that was a restaurant favorite which according to her was good but not great. I ordered the special, which was a tuna dish that was a bit dry served with minute rice and unseasoned vegetables, which was way below average for the Mexican cuisine I have been accustom to having. This is one of the very few disappointments dining out during my many stay in Mexico.
