Was a big fan of Francisco's and was devastated when it closed but was ecstatic when Cisco's opened a year later. We've been 3 or 4 times and have always had an excellent experience. View all feedback.
What Brooke Hansen doesn't like about Cisco's Restaurante Mexicano:
It started with the cool greeting we were presented with upon arrival by the Canberra culinary scene 's least personal Maitre De. What is your flagship dish the house specialty? The response All of them . Despite the implausibility of this claim, if it is true...then it is a poor reflection on the menu. Speaking of the menu, like the decore and the kitschy Dean Martin soundtrack, it hasn 't changed despite the appare... View all feedback.
I went last night with my grandmother and 2 other guests (5 in total). From the moment I made the booking through to the end of our meal the staff were friendly and accommodating. I mentioned during my booking my grandmothers mobility issues and a few other things and when we arrived they had ensured a table with clear easy access and a cushioned sturdy chair for her. Even down to taking orders they were attentive and friendly (without being patronising or condescending that sometimes happens when people talk to someone elderly). Anyone who treats my Nanna nicely is top on my list. The food was delicious! We shared a small beef nachos and a quesadilla for entree - the nachos were massive (considering they were a small) and we were practically full by mains! I had the chicken fajitas for main and they were fresh and very tasty. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it was all very reasonably priced considering how full we all were at the end! They allow BYO wine at $5 a bottle so we brought our own, so I can't comment too much on the drinks menu - but we loved everything and had a fantastic night! Many thanks to all the staff :)

Amazing food. We had the Cisco Platter (1 x Burrito, 1 x Enchilada and 1 x Spicy Meatball with rice) Both of us loved it. It was very spicy but in a good way. We took my partners little brother and he struggled a bit but I think that was because his tastebuds are very plain at the moment. (he had the traditional tacos) We both tried the traditional tacos and it was so good. Amazing food, great service and wonderful cocktails.
Went with a large group of friends, the food was AWFUL! The vegetarian filling in the chimichanga was mushed beans (probably straight from the can) and on the side the put more beans as if it wasn't enough, the rice was dried and not seasoned, and when I complained about the lack of vegetables, they brought me salad and guess what? the salad had beans in it! it was a joke. My partner had a vegetarian burrito filled with beans as well with beans on the side. My point is there was no variety food wise, no research on what Mexican food is about and a total misrepresentation of it.Other people in the group was also disappointed with their dishes. The decor was of bad taste and no effort was put into it. It's a disgrace to Mexican food and culture. The prices were too high for what you get. Nothing positive about it.
Very dissapointing experience at Cisco's Restaurante. Drinks are served warm and service was average at best. Not a single smile was seen on any staff members face the entire evening. Not a nice atmosphere at all.
