Chubby's Restaurant - Campbellford

We have dined at this restaurant several times in the past but it has just recently changed ownership The buffet is so...good. Two choices of meat ..always roast beef and one other You can have both!! The roast beef is so tender you don't need a knife. Soup, salad, main entree and then fabulous desserts "take you want, just eat what you take". The management and staff are so attentive and were pleased to hear we were happy with everything. Very busy, need to make a reservations.

My mother and I decided to go to Chubby's in Hoard's Station yesterday for lunch. When we arrived, we noticed a large tour bus pulling in full of people. We went into Chubby's restaurant, and we greeted by the owners Mike and Amy Taylor. They told us they we hosting a private gathering of a tour going to Stirling for a Theatre Matinee, but invited us to sit and enjoy a nice buffet lunch with the group. We sat and enjoyed a wonderful HOME MADE lunch with the many choices of the salad bar and the most fresh piece of tender roast beef...I normally have some digestion issues with roast beef, but because there were no preservatives added, my stomach was absolutely fine...other than maybe a bit full with the generous potions of beef and mashed potatoes Mike and Amy had given me...ha!I highly recommend anybody who is looking for a great meal around Hoard's Station and Campbellford Ontario, stop in and see Mike and Amy Taylor. Just remember to check their hours before...they were actually closed for the day when we went....but still let my mom and I stay for our best, most fresh lunch we have had outside of a family kitchen.

Fresh ingredient salads, wonderful cut-with-your-fork beef, beautifully cooked veggies and home made desserts with melt-in-your-mouth pastries. Excellent service and let us not forget the great tasting coffee!!!

Chubby's has been in business for several years and is known for their dinner buffets. The roast beef and chicken are excellent and you can take as much as you can eat. The only downside is that Chubby's is a seasonal operation.

Such a delicious dinner! Incredibly generous servings of REAL comfort FOOD. They had me at homemade soup, and it just got better from there. Had a lovely time out thanks to the friendliest of staff who made us feel welcomed. Thank you, and we'll be back next year.
