Mill Road is an eclectic mix of shops, cafes, restaurants and businesses. Most are local independents. Café Remy is towards the Parkers Piece end of the street. It is a compact coffee shop offering great coffee and a range of snacks. NB: No loo as far as I could make out, though I confess I didn't ask View all feedback.
What johndeesi doesn't like about Rotana Cafe:
We recently discovered that Cafe Remy had changed its name, likely due to its lack of popularity. Upon entering the cafe, we were met with an unpleasant atmosphere - the space was bare and uninviting. It was evident that most of the food was purchased from ALDI supermarket, with only a few exceptions. Overall, this cafe would be better suited as a gift shop rather than a dining establishment. Very nice place to take your coffee on the morning or relax on the afternoon. the music plays soft in the background. they can even stay outside for fresh air (there are some tables) and they can have a small bite when they are hungry. close to the city center and the owner is a very nice and friendly person! I recommend it!
I chose this place this morning, as the crossers were clearly visible. both employees were really, not superficial, friendly as I approached. there was only enough space to sit and read. the American was beautiful and strong. in the background there were real jazz music that was not too loud. not a generic jazz playlist, but a good group that plays pleasant melodies. slightly less than £4 for coffee and croissant. will be back.
Great Coffee, good food and fantastic conversation. This is what a coffee house is all about! The service is courteous, discrete, and empathic.

I have ever been there, but i did order a couple of cakes for take away. Oreo cheese cake was aaamazing, and i 've tried a lot before. Also, the included a little bag with a note saying thank you and a chocolate brownie bar for free, and i think that 's a lovely touch.
