Jr's Jamaican Jerk#2 (calumet Park)

This was my first time visiting, and as a fan of jerk food, I was willing to spend $23 for 12 wings and fries. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I've made. The fries were unappetizing, and the jerk sauce was incredibly off-putting. You really need to improve; this is unacceptable!

The mac and cheese and red beans and rice were excellent. Unfortunately, the catfish didn't meet expectations; some pieces had a strong, unpleasant taste and similar texture, while others were overcooked and tasted very fishy. The woman at the front seemed unfriendly, and even though I ordered before others, they were served before me. I’m giving it 2 stars for the mac and cheese and red beans and rice, though.

I had a delightful surprise during my last visit here. The cabbage and the carrots were delicious, and the chicken was juicy. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you can go earlier in the day. The young lady who served me was pleasant and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian dishes were tasty, but there were only side options available, and not everything listed on the menu was offered. Kid-friendliness: This isn’t the best place for kids. Parking: There is parking available, and it is relatively ample for the size of the restaurant.

Absolutely delicious Caribbean jerk! There are plenty of sides to choose from, and the chicken is fantastic. I had the white chicken instead of the dark, and I highly recommend pairing it with the yams and mac and cheese. Definitely worth a try!
