Full disclosure: this is my first review, but I have eaten here at least 10 times. Beautifully fresh, fantastic sushi and sashimi for unbeatable prices. My favourite in Calgary. Staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommended... Warning: it's not a large place, and almost always is 2/3rds full. Great for couples and groups of 4 to 6. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi Hanami:
The good:- sashimi pieces were very generous in size- rolls were similarly huge- salmon was quite tasty- service was quick and friendlyThe not-so-good:- some sushi was not terribly fresh (e.g. the tuna sashimi was not very good)- my wife did not like the sauce they used for their spicy salmonOverall, I would not rush back to visit Sushi Hanami as there are other better sushi joints in Calgary. Definitely a good place to go, not too busy - food is fresh. The little yogurt drinks they give you scare me...won't touch that.
I'm a science student at Mount Royal University and all he students I know (myself included) love eating at this place since its right down the road.
The food was great, we enjoyed all of the amazing food we order. The service was very nice and kind. Its cheap but very tasty food. We really enjoyed it there !!
