A colleague and I went for lunch. It was my first visit, and well worth it. We enjoyed the piti piti cassava starter, a Kenyan goat stew with a tasty tomato sauce, and a very good Daal. View all feedback.

Great experience. Food was good, flavours were awesome (growing up in Africa it was great to taste food from there). Value for money I wouldn't quite put up there, however will concede it's an experience and not just another fastfood chain. The owner treated us as guests in his home, fed us well and catered to our every request. The quiet restaurant at 7:30pm became a joyous gathering of all ages by 9:00pm. Thanks, Ali, for a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful and flavourful time as always at Safari Grill. The chicken mistake skewers were well seasoned and melted in our mouths, and the eggplant birigani and the beef vindaloo dishes were to die for! Ali the owner who always greets and treats us was not there today, but even not being there, he took the time to remember us, call in, and to have the staff give us an extra treat on the house that made us feel special. Between the willingness to be bold with flavours and spices in a time when so many restaurants go bland, and to remember us whenever we visit, it is hands down our favourite restaurant in Calgary. We went for two specific items on their menu and neither were available. Nothing was offered for our disappointment not even an applogy. Won't be going there again

Five of us went for Mother's Day and took advantage of the special early opening for lunch. Each of us chose a different dish and all were very happy especially my youngest son who ordered the lamb chops. We were attended to by the owner and service was prompt and friendly. My wife even received a complimentary glass of rose wine for Mother's Day. Love the food, the different spices. So much more to discover so we'll be back soon.
