Its a student run restaurant, so of course the service will occasionally be inconsistent, but they do a great job and the food is good. Its so affordable that I come here almost every day; and typically the quality is extremely high. There's a good variety of other options and you won't beat the prices anywhere. However, I've noticed the service at the short-order line—particularly from the students/staff—is lacking. Customer service appears to be an afterthought. During my recent visit, I ordered a steak sandwich. One of the students insisted that onion rings were only included if I ordered fries, which contradicts what’s shown on the menu board. According to the description, the meal includes onion rings, garlic bread, steak, and fries or salad. If that's no longer the case, I’d recommend updating the menu signage to reflect the correct information and avoid confusion in the future. Unfortunately, around 11:18 AM, I noticed it was given to someone who had ordered well after me. In the past, there has usually been an instructor overseeing orders, but that didn’t seem to be the case this time. As a result, my lunch break was entirely spent waiting, which was quite frustrating. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the cashiers were polite, helpful, and processed a refund without issue. However, I was disappointed with the kitchen staff's handling of the situation.
