Blue Crane The - Caledon

The Blue Crane is the restaurant at Caledon Hotel. I've coming here for years, and it's very disappointing and sad to see the gradual decline in the standards they once maintained. This was evident in the breakfast with substandard meat options, like the beef sausage, that was not of a good quality, as well as the omission of certain items that was always offered like the chicken sausage and chicken cordon blue.

We had breakfast at The Blue Crane after staying the night in Caledon. It wasn't up to standard to me. The potato rostis were very oily, the halaal beef sausage was very dry, the scrambled eggs were dry, not creamy and fluffy. What disappointed me the most was that the cream served with the flapjacks was not whipped fresh cream but bakery imitation cream. The food was edible, but may be at Spur breakfast standards, which is disappointing for a hotel. The staff was also not very pleasant or welcoming according to normal hospitality ettiquette.
