Very cosy restaurant, excellent food and service, very friendly staff. It is a favourite restaurant and I always recommend it to visitors.
This was a nice lunch, good food at a reasonable price. The place was crowded with many locals. We began with bread and sardine pate. We then shared a large salad.I had the veal dish and it was very good. I tasted the octopus dish and it was very good as well. Good place for lunch.
Great range of Portuguese dishes cooked in traditional way. Local wines and coffees. Friendly staff. Great environment for an entertaining evening.
I do not go to a Restaurant because it is near a park. I go to a Restaurant to eat good, healthy and tasty food. I have a crunch on small, hidden places or places out in the countryside where you never would expect to find a restaurant. I went to Tijuca in Caldas to find a MOST cozy place, a tasty and healthy cuisine - the same kind of cuisine that my mother used to serve - and a most sympathetic and personal service. Do not expect servants in 17-hundreds clothes but be sure that the food that comes out of the kitchen and is served on your table belongs to good old portuguese tradition and tastes just as it did. I am talking about the Jaquinzinhos; I am talking about the arroz de grelos; talking about the queixada de porco, the peixe cozido com batatas e grelos.Being a lover of good portuguese cuisine I strongly recommend the food and the warmth of the service at Tijuca.Oh, and one more thing: the prices are very human.Enjoy the food at Tijuca and go for a walk in the park and perhaps a visit to the museum. I promise you, it is a wonderfully spent summer afternoon in Caldas da Raínha !
