Having been looking forward to moules and crepe we went looking for this restaurant but unfortunately it is now closed and has been replaced by another, but not a creperie! Two very disappointed children :-(
Our family has been visiting this Creperie since the early 80s, and whilst it has changed hands a few times over the years, the service and the food has always been excellent. The current owners have been there for maybe 3 years; the husband cooks and the wife serves and looks after the restaurant. The dining room has maybe 10-12 tables in, it is clean, comfortable and tidy. The menu has perhaps 20 different crepes on, ranging from simple ham & cheese to seafood, meaty, vegetarian. Most crepes are made with nice heavy dark flour, which is tasty and filling, and I've never had a crepe which was anything other than delicious. The desert crepes come with all kinds of toppings and are made with white flour. Everything is cooked fresh at the back of the restaurant, and there's always a nice smell of crepes cooking away. The owners are really chatty and friendly and give a great welcome to everyone. We visited last weekend taking our 13-week old daughter with us and the owner was helpful and friendly, having children in the restaurant was no problem. We go to Calais frequently and this can't be said for all the restaurants in Calais. Sometimes it's busy and has a nice bustly feel, other times it's quiet.
Home family, convivial in a pleasant setting just like bosses: , galettes are many
