Vicunna Grill Bar - Cajamarca

This is one of the two best bistros in town, but they have the best chimichurri and empanadas in town! There is no question. It is not expensive for tourists, but it is neither cheap, so not the best idea for backpackers on the budget. However, I strongly recommend that at least once the empanadas with chimichurri won regreat!

I've only made a visit so far. By far this is the best steak I found in Cajamarca in over 25 years of visit to Cajamarca. It's an old house along the street next to the airport. If you drive to the airport, turn right as the road curves into the port. Follow the road along the airport fence. I went on a Saturday night, barely people, so I was skeptical. Not the most beautiful place, chairs are hard, it seems to run down and not the cleanest. Probably makes more business for the afternoon dinner group on weekends. However, the Empenadas and grilled mushrooms had as appetizers. They were both excellent! I had the Ojo de Biefe. It was a very good steak and the best beef I had in Cajamarca. The fries were good. I didn't eat the salad because there are only a few places I would trust for a salad because I wouldn't be willing to take a chance. I'm back when I have a taste for steak.

Nos lo recomendaron y no se equivocaron ricas empanadas y bifes de lo mejor esta muy cerca del aereopuerto no es tan bonito pero su comida esta ok los domingos es para ir en familia

Riquísima la suprema completa. Ricas carnes. Buena opción para pasar un domingo en familia, ya que tienen un campo con algunos juegos donde los niños pueden corretear. La atención es un poco lenta, pero puede mejorar, aunque es porque la comida se hace en el momento.
