I am on a trip here to Cairns with my daughter and I was not prepared to pay for overpriced fish and chips by the seaside in the CBD. So I looked at tripadvisor for advice and Mulgrave Seafoods did not disappoint. We walked 16 min from the CBD and it was well worth it for the $9 fish and chips pack. What User doesn't like about Mulgrave Seafoods:
Went to the shop with my partner for fish and chips. Had a man serving us who was so rude speaking quickly followed by rude comments under his breath. The fish was not crispy at all, neither were the chips even properly cooked. My boyfriend found a black hair at the bottom of his meal to top off the entire experience. Sad to say we can no longer go in for our oysters because of this terrible experience we had today.... View all feedback.

Mackerel and chips for $9.00, what else is there to say? Quick, tasty, cheap. You can't want more than that. Go back factor: High.
They will cook any fish they have in any manner you'd like. Amazing place. So cheap, so friendly and soooo delicious.
One of the best fish burgers I can remember. Everything was balance right, great flavour, I definitely have my new favorite burger fix
And they do deep fried Oysters and Mussels. Awesome! Great to phone order ahead for a quick lunch. Chips especially tasty. Always friendly service.
