We had an impromptu late lunch. Accommodated on a beautiful outside sitting in the winter sun overlooking the pool. The White , the blue colours and matted seaside roof line was like being on a Greek island with the sounds of surf.A beer & French rose was ordered. We chose 2 share plates - Tomato with hand made mozzarella , black garlic & basil - cheese, ham, pickles & artisan breads. - simply so flavoursome !Wait st... View all feedback.
What Jevon Considine doesn't like about Paper Daisy:
A very disappointing lunch with friends. Three of us ordered the fish, which was a tiny fillet on a tiny plate? No room to add the "luke warm" chips or the ice cold ,silken tofu side dishes. The sparkling water was flat. After ordering a medium steak, it came rare.the only good thing was the steamed broccoli I was able to eat after making room on my tiny plate. Very overpriced and slow service. View all feedback.
We stayed at Halcyon House and enjoyed Paper Daisy twice per day during our 3 night visit. What a lovely place. Service was great and the meals were outstanding. And the prices were quite reasonable considerable the quality of the fare.
Some 40 minutes south of the Gold Coast, Paper Daisy is a lovely restaurant located right next to Cabarita Beach. The quality of the food is excellent, as is the range offered in the menu. We found the service to be a bit slow (busy Sunday lunch). Drinks are over-priced.
It sounds kind of ridiculous to say we went there and had a prawn sanga and a hamburger. But what a prawn Sandwich! What a hamburger! Same name but so much more!We "just" ordered from the Bar Food menu and sat in the sun with the blue blue ocean as the backdrop. The King prawn sandwich with avocado & potato crisps was intense in flavour. There were a few butter lettuce leaves on the side with something delicious draped on them (maybe pickled fennel?). My husband was a bit embarrassed about ordering a burger ... but he loves a good burger and this one was outstanding.Service was attentive and it was a delightful setting for a laid back lunch
I had heard so much about Paper Daisy and we had a annual girls weekend coming up,so it was a perfect opportunity to try it. We usually go to Melbourne or Sydney as we are all foodies but this year we were staying closer to home.I need to tell everyone Paper Daisy did not disappoint. We chose the grazing menu and every dish was to die for,the cocktails were expertly made. All of us will be back with our partners, we need to give them this experience.if I had to pick a favourite it would be the Green rice crumbed prawns with chilli & ginger pickle salad. Others would say it was the grilled wagyu with green garlic, brussel sprouts & horseradish!! I can't wait to dine here again.
