The Goodie Shack - Burnside

When Rytha rubbed this joint back in the say she ran it well. Hate to see such a jewel go down hill. This used to be my favorite restaurant every summer and I always looked forward to them opening. I had skipped a few years cause I got some bad food. They started getting stingy on their pickles. They would cut one pickle spear 10 times. I’m serious you was lucky to get a pickle spear thick enough as your finger. But that wasn’t the only reason? Some shady looking people was working there. Food was always not very good. Decided to give it another try. When i di guess what my order is messed up completely. No pickles in my foolong. So I went in to have the rest of the order corrected. The girl that brought our food to the car was very sweet and understanding snf sorry. Finely when the lady gets the pickle speaks I literally watched her stick her dirty hands in to the pickles and grab them out! When tbd other lady brought it back I said your co worker couldn’t use tongs does she have to touch the food. She shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal. Just a second lesson learned today for me and my husband we will just stay away from Goody Shack.Eve thing has changed so much this new owner is cutting all the corners he can. The chili for the hotdogs is not the best any more. I’d rather have chili from a can. The coleslaw don’t like it use to be. In fact I couldn’t eat either. Neither could my husband. I’m very saddened about this. I have came to this restaurant with my dad since I was a kid almost 35 years ago. It’s gone done so much. I’m going to say it I hope you go back to the way Rytha ran this place the right way. Until then I’ll just go ride where where.

This place is truly a greasy spoon. I have learned over the years that places like this have the best tasting food and the friendliest employees. Both of which is true here. The cheese berger I had was greasy and messy just like a really good cheese berger should be. I truly enjoyed my visit here.

Too bad no one was wearing any kind of PPE. Your food is fantastic, but I would have without the creepy feeling of someone breathing on my food while it is prepared and breathing my face on while it is served. You could have this 5th star so easy...

I think The Goodie Shack is only open via the thru drive at the time. The waiting time for the food is longer than other fast food sites, but not much, and believe me that the food is worth the extra few minutes, especially since the extra time is due to the fact that all food is prepared when you order it and NOT in front of the hand. You have a very good selection of baskets, ducks and sides, and the portions are large enough that you do not get away hungry. In fact, you are much more likely to have some left than not. You also have big shakes and desserts for it. RECOMMENDATIONS!
