My wife and I have been before it was an excellent service then with Dino. Went again 5th May 24 appalling service. Completely ignored with slow service despite staff around mainly talking on the side of the restaurant. Did not order dessert and cocktails (I had already asked one of the waiters to come over later for more cocktails). I said to the head waiter that the service was appalling and he just smiled and looked at me. Kind of summed up the evening for us.
Food was average at best and 7.20 for a shandy! Not much choice on the menu if you go as a large group as you can only order off the party menu, the al a carte is only for small groups. If I'm paying these prices then I should be able to order what I like on any menu,especially if you order and pay a week in advance!
Beautiful spot, celebrated my friend's 40th here. The duck dish is a must-try, it's absolutely fantastic.
Food was probably more pub standard than fine dining. The stroganoff sauce was quite weak, and the rice was slightly undercooked. Service wasn't too bad but we wasn't offered another drink until we caught their attention to ask. Overall, it was alright but not in a rush to go back.
The service at the restaurant was quite slow, even though there were not many people dining there, aside from a few from the spa. It took a while to be seated as a couple did not know how to book in advance. However, the young girl who took care of us was great. The food was excellent, but there were times when it seemed like there were too many staff members standing around doing nothing. There is definitely room for improvement, especially considering the high prices of the food. The reception area could use some enhancements.
