While not in the best position for views, the Gingernut Cafe more than made upfor it with its great food, coffee and the service. If in the area this is a must visit. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gingernut Cafe:
Ordered 2 naked burgers. Meat patties were raw wouldn't make me another one because it would cost too much for them to do another one so got my money back. Was told I was wrong cook was really rude. Spoke to gentleman owner handled matter well can't say that for the rest of the staff there at gingernut cafe View all feedback.

A friend and I chose to catch up here for afternoon tea and were "greeted" by an older female with frizzy brunette hair presumably the owner. She was abrupt and uninterested in helping us and when we got our food it tasted like garbage, the coffee was like dirty water too. Recommend skipping this place if you want a nice experience. There's plenty of other cafes in the area that would happily take our money and provide a better experience.

Had a coupon through one of the local sites, gave my wife and I breakfast. Service was great and the lady serving was very friendly, however the food was just average. It's a tough business, hospitality on the Gold Coast, this one just fell a bit short. I would try it again sometime, but hard to recommend based on this visit.
The Gingernut Cafe is tucked away amongst furniture warehouses and car yards and the decor is simple but if you want basic, good food at a reasonable price it's a gem.We had a voucher for a meal and drink for 4 people but even without one Gingernut would be easily affordable. Basic cafe fare like steak sandwich and salt and pepper calamari but done really really well. I had a chicken schnitzel burger which arrived on turkish bread along with mayo, avocado and cheese. The steak sandwich had all the usual stuff but also included onion jam. It just the little touches that raise the Gingernut above the average. Even the chips were above the norm for this kind of fare. Very well worth a visit if you want a good feed and don't care about the setting.
