What User doesn't like about Jamaica Blue:
I was sick and wanted a hot suppe for lunch. I ordered to be taken, as I had to go back to work. the person on the theke said they will be in great coffee, and took two of them. I thought they fill both tassen as $10,90 for a suppe and a small piece toast is a bit much. lo and behold, she only filled a big cup, the other cup served as a holder as it was hot (not even this hot tbh). This is our local coffee shop, and my mum is here everyday . I think this cafe chain is a tad overpriced. We decided to pop in for a coffee and a bite to eat . Service was very friendly fast seating very comfortable.We had the chicken mushroom crepe. Generous serving as you get 2 crepes with Hollandaise sauce and a little salad. We enjoyed it and would go back.
Wish I could give zero! So I ordered the smallest size takeaway long macchiato and was charged $5.90!!! This has got to be the most expensive coffee in Australia considering its definitively the most expensive in Perth. Having just come back from 4 weeks travelling across Australia to Sydney and Melbourne I nearly choked on the price. If it weren't for the fact that I had fed my coffee addiction on $3-$3.50 coffees for a month and needed my next fix I probably would have told the lovely girl behind the till where to put her $5.90 coffee! Not the best Jamaica Blue we've visited. Popped in for a coffee and it was the longest coffee making and order taking situation I've come across in a while. Miscommunication between staff perhaps? But waiting for a coffee for 20 minutes isn't too flash. When I did get it it was way too weak! Won't be back.
I really enjoyed the coffee I had here today! The service was totally fine, coffee came out quickly, chairs are comfy, what more could you ask for? :
They make a good coffee..... but I'd avoid anything else!.....unless you're OK at parting with the best part of $5 for a thin slither of cake or slice. Way over priced!!
