Fun at dinner at a Kosher McD. Eating was what you would expect. Fast food. The line when I arrived was long and it was a while to work through the line and get our food. What I wouldn't call that fast food still, it was a funny experience.
For those who observe the Jewish nutritional laws (Kashrut/Kashrus), it is a rather novel idea to have a cosher McDonald outside Israel. The problem lies with sanitary practices in terms of food safety and cross-contamination. The kitchen area did not look very clean from the customer's viewpoint, and there was an older woman in the kitchen that inspected the salad finger with the finger without gloves, a mask or cough shield. I doubt that the salad was washed again after passing through the fingers. The same people who serve food also treat the money. I can't really blame McDonalds in itself because most fast food chains are guilty, except that one would expect a Kosher McDonald to maintain a higher standard, especially because we don't know if the money was previously in contact with something unkosher, and then treated with food to cause cross-contamination. If the premises were more attractive and the practices were rather inline with, I would have rated this restaurant better despite fast food that you do not achieve Brownie points on the scale. Your ice cream dessert isn't bad if you think it's Parve. Overall, disappointing, but a novel idea.
It's so great to finally try the most popular chain of fast food. The prices were great, and the food, that's all Kosher, was also amazing. You don't accept American credit cards, so you have to pay cash. Definitely a worhtwhile eating spot while checking out the Abasto Mall.
I visited McDonald´s all over the world, and all of us we know what is McDonald´s...but this one is the worst I ever visited in my life!! and Kosher, with no gloves?? they touch money and they touch salads and ingredients by the time the do a burger??? this not Kosher, is horrible and the service... THE WORST
