My advice is book either directly or on Open Table they accept both. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a prime seat next to the chef cooking steak over wood. Big choice on the menu and we were offered at least another six specials. I couldn’t go past the steak 10oz New York Sirloin cooked to perfection. It comes with garlic bread choice of salad or soup and fires or baked potato. A glass of the excellent Hitchi... View all feedback.
Very good food and great atmosphere!! You can watch the Ostriches while having a tasting!!
We went there for lunch. Had a burger and some Tritip tacos. Burger was huge and the tacos were overflowing. It’s very laidback they bring out the food but make sure you grab any condiments and cutlery you may need. They did mention that it might be changing to a true sit down with a waiter soon so this may not apply soon after I post this.Anyway, make sure you are hungry!!!! Oh and the fries are delicious even without the ketchup.
Friendly staff, good food and wine. This is a must stop by place.
This place is definitely wine in a million! I've made a lot of pour decisions in my life and super glad we visited this amazing winery.Dined the night before at their restaurant next door Hitching Post II and got the chance to enjoy some of their wine selections so decided to swing by the winery the next day to sample some of the other wines I didn't get a chance to try. So glad I did as this wine tasting was definitely the highlight of my vacation. We were welcomed by the host with the most Aaron when we got there just before opening time. It was amazing to hear him regale us with the history and future plans for Hitching Post Wines. The conversation and the wine was just perfect and one of the most memorable ones we've had sober or not : Also had the pleasure of meeting owner and legendary wine maker Frank Ostini. Our visit here reminds me that wine is more than just it grapes. The best ones are the ones that were cultivated, nurtured and coaxed to excellence by passionate individuals like Frank and Aaron.Cheers to Frank, Aaron and the Hitching Post team! We love your Pinot and maybe, just maybe drink a glass of Merlot if anyone orders it (sorry Miles! .All in all, this is a wine-derful place to sip and enjoy life
It's 2023, and if you have any ambition to be a noteworthy restaurant, you ought to invest in a proper web page. You can't tell much from their rudimentary and dated web page, other than it's specialties are tri tip, BBQ and steaks. Except, it turns out that you can't get tri tip or BBQ at dinner. And the menu seems to say that on a Monday (today), you can get a burger at dinner maybe so, but you can't get the pulled pork or the tri tip sandwich or the tri tip tacos. So, we each ordered a small steak on an onion roll, with grilled onions artichoke sauce, and a small dinner salad. It wasn't bad, though it wasn't what we wanted. Service was fine. My guess is if you wanted a steak baked potato, you'd do OK here. But don't expect to get too far out of that lane. This place seems like it might be coasting on that old steakhouse reputation. Drinking just tap water, with tax tip, the bill was about $70.
