The divided pea soup is vegan! Fun Square to stop on the way on the highway 101 or on the way to Solvang! A cool shop is connected to the restaurant where you can find vegan jams, jelly, aebleskiver mix, wine, syrups and random gifts. View all feedback.
What Palma Herzog doesn't like about Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant:
Bad service in my whole life. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was rude. No one said hi, no smile, and no one asked how to eat. We sat the worst place, though there were many seats. The cashier just gave me an empty star (no one has said anything). Very depressing experience. The $9 bowl of soup tasted good, but is it really worth being treated like a cow? What else can I say? My wife and I travel to Buellton,CA to relax and see the Gabriel Fluffy Inglesa Show at Chumash Casino Resort. We were very hungry from our long journey from Los Angles, we drove to Pea Soup Andersons it is world-famous many people travel to Bueliton,CA to taste their world-famous Pea soup. The restaurant is very nice that it feels like traveling to Denmark and feeling like a diner. We both order half a sandwich and soup. The sandwich we decided was the chicken salad sandwich, also their pea soup. The waiter bought food it looks very good, first I tasted the Pea soup it was very good light and full taste in the soup. You make everyday life and fresh the chicken sandwich was very much taste in the sandwich my wife and I enjoy it very much then we order dessert we have the honey bread pudding it was very good. We enjoy the food.
Stopped here due to all the ads we saw on our road trip home. The restaurant reeked of a skunk and the bathroom smelled like a sewer. Not appetizing at all. The soup was decent. The toppings were not great quality. I don?t need to stop here again. Once was plenty. My husband felt the same way.
Not only is this place in a cute danish building, but the restaurant is more than just that! There are shops located in the building, including a year-round Christmas shop, customer-only bathrooms, a decent wine selection and a little bakery at the front of the restaurant. Everyone inside was pretty friendly, the service was nice, and there was no wait to order a soup to go and some danishes. If you haven't tried the pea soup at Pea Soup Andersen's you are missing out!! It will be the best (right below grandma's) pea soup you will ever order! I need to have my soup with all the extra fixings on the side, and the up charge for it is not bad. Overall, anyone looking for delicious food and good service near Buellton must try here!
A walk looks a bit like an abandoned restaurant, so it could benefit from a renovation. The food was amazing, but I had the Monte Cristo and I highly recommend like others. We also had the chicken pot pee that was great and a BLT. I'm not a split pea soup fan, but of course I had to try here and it's good. Our waiter was thrilled and there was no waiting time to sit down. Oh and milkshake was worth it!
