Have been a regular client for over 12 years and always very happy with the service and food. Thai wait staff change regularly as many seem to be on working holidays but have always been very friendly and efficient even when very busy. Value is always a subjective thing, but in my opinion the food is still very fairly priced and a very generous serving size. The only negative is something over which they have no cont... What User doesn't like about Thai Frenzy:
I ordered chicken satays for lunch ( as I am on a no rubbish food protocol) and thought they would be pretty safe. They came out bright yellow and I thought "ah they are using turmeric now: keeping up with things!" But they had a funny after taste and it turns out the chicken was coated with food colouring! Very disappointing. Why would you need to do that? The chef left as we were eating and said as they were leaving"... View all feedback.
I went to this restaurant for dinner and there were only two other couples there. We ordered a bottle of champagne but had to ask three times over a twenty-minute period for glasses and an ice bucket. The service was extremely slow and we had to ask for plates when our entrees were brought out. It seemed like the staff were more focused on take away meals. I ordered the chicken and cashew stir fry, which tasted like it was boiled. Even the cashews seemed boiled. I wouldn't rush back anytime soon. There were three young kids working there who didn't seem to care much and didn't know what they were doing. Cleaning cloths and cleaning fluid were left in our face, which wasn't a great impression. The owners were in the kitchen and seemed oblivious to what was happening in the restaurant. I also found the prices to be overpriced for what you get.
My family got takeout on a Sunday evening. We ordered chicken chilli basil fried rice, which was disappointingly sticky and clumpy with very little basil and chilli. The rice also had large clumps of broccoli. I would give it a 4 out of 10. The fried rice with beef was plain and similarly sticky, earning a score of 3 out of 10. The chicken pad Thai had overcooked noodles that were stuck together, resulting in a bland taste. I would rate it a 5 out of 10. The Chiang Mai beef was better in comparison, receiving a score of 7 out of 10. The total cost of our meal was $80.
Took my parents here for meal after reading the reviews. They were bang on, and we were all well happy with this small, intimate restaurant. Service was good, prices fair and the food? Delicious. My Massaman Curry hit the right spot. Creamy, tasty and the beef just melted in the mouth. Definitely recommend and worth booking a table beforehand.
Whenever we visit the Sunshine Coast, we always make sure to dine at Thai Frenzy. We first tried it about two years ago and the food is just as excellent now as it was back then. The flavors are fresh and authentic. We highly recommend the green curry and Pad Thai, but all of the dishes are fantastic. Having been to Thailand myself, I can confidently say that Thai Frenzy is just as delicious as the meals you can find overseas.
Water delivered to the table upon being seated and the food order was taken promptly. We shared the delicious duck curry and BBQ Pork and a small serve of jasmine rice. The serves were generous in size and unfortunately we couldn’t squeeze in a dessert. The service was spot on being attentive but not overbearing. We will be back for the duck curry.
