Staff were great, drinks were reasonable, music was meh. The place wasn’t full on a Friday night… we should have read the warning signs. Dinner was awful. 8 meals is enough to call it! Someone in the kitchen is out of control with the salt shaker! The burgers were super salty. The schnitzel was huge and dry. The fish and chips were $35 for just pub fish and chips. The southside made by the bartender Scarlett ? was the best I ever had!!! Due to the hot weather, I suggested moving inside and the grey haired manager instantly moved our booking inside. No complaints had. Good service is hard to find these days with the ever increasing usages of the dastardly QR codes. But that seems to not be a problem for the Railway Hotel. The service was flawless. Sara is another mention! Her charisma, jokes and always present smile were really charming. Thanks Railway Hotel! I will be back on Friday!

Someone in the kitchen is out of control with the salt shaker! The burgers were super salty. The schnitzel was huge and dry. The fish and chips were $35 for just pub fish and chips. The veg with the rotisserie chicken was also super salty. The FIFTY DOLLAR steak was sliced ! so all the moisture was lost, served ON TOP of the chips, and so dry there was no transfer of meat juices on the chips! The peppercorn sauce was gravy in a jug HALF filled with peppercorns. Definitely food waste!
We are locals but it was our first visit to the hotel. Our waitress was exceptional, very friendly and on the ball. She apologised for the delay in the food arriving and offered to provide two additional drinks on the house. The food was very good as well and we'll definitely be returning.
Wonderful beer garden with brilliant menu. We will keep returning and bring new friends.
The overall feeling was calming, Pastels and Terracotta tiles mixed with greenery made for a great place to be!
