After a long day of exploring, we came to the Summit House and it's reputation delivered. The view was a spectacular place for a drink. Even better was the conversation and service from Mikayla. Mikayla offered plenty of regional insight and was super pleasant from word 1. She even took this photo for us! The weather was unbelievably clear and we couldn't ask for more. View all feedback.
What Kylester88 doesn't like about Summit House Seattle:
The worst food I’ve had in WA get all the way here 2 hour drive to be charged for food and then they are out of everything but no money back won’t come again! Joke of a place! View all feedback.
Great view and great service. The hostess was very rude and argumentative.
How do you expect people to eat at your restaurant when Gondola to your restaurant was $58 per person its just
The food was not great. ordered a chicken sandwich, would not order again. it tasted overly salty. this was a common with all their food, its like they dumped a ton of salt on it. the service was okay, they promised extra plates and never brought them. had to wait awhile for some pineapple juice after a server said he would bring it and also never did.
When you arrive, you 'll see a sign that says order here . DON 'T DO IT. That is for the patio and they have pre-made wraps. We made that mistake and they kindly refunded us (before delivering food) when we noticed that the restaurant (where we wanted to eat) is separate without signage. The food in the Summit House was surprisingly good since talk outside was that patio food tasted old and eh. We arrived around 2p on a summer Monday and they were out of a lot of items. I gave them 4 stars because even though our food came without avocado, huckleberry, chicken, etc, they still charged us extra to add cheese to a burger--that was missing half the stuff it should have come with and to sub a soup when the OG side wasn 't available. I considered questioning it, but our server was young and kind, so I ate it. Otherwise, would recommend and enjoyed our visit.
So, the views are gorgeous! That's obvious! To get up the gondala it was 50 bucks a person and all the food was pretty pricey up top. We knew it wasn't going to be amazing food, but we hiked the Skyline Trail and needed some protein. The cheese curds were really good the cilantro sauce was eh. I got the salmon sandwich, it was okay the waffle fries were really dry and under seasoned. The salmon needed a bit more seasoning. My mom got a burger, it was awful. She was missing the extras she ordered and it was burnt and a cheap cut. No seasoning. Very disappointing but she didn't send it back because it took 40 minutes to come out. By the way, the restaurant isn't busy. They are just super slow or understaffed. But half the time our waiter was everywhere but our table chatting with other staff. My friend got the bison burger, the flavours were overwhelming and the meat was underwhelming. Not worth the 32 dollar price. If we weren't starving, I would have gotten an pretzel or the cheese curds and called it a day. But the view is gorgeous! edit I wrote this review while sitting at the table. To be honest, save your money go stop at an overlook somewhere and make a sandwich. It'll be better than what they serve/the service.
