L'Academie has been in my life for over 35 years. Their first location on St-Denis has been one of my favorites since it opened in the 80s. When they opened up in Brossard I started goif right away and never stopped. Great food. Great service. Beautiful restaurant. And the Marsala is to die for. Don't miss out. Make a reservation soon... What Gil L doesn't like about Restaurant L'Académie:
Newly opened (after being closed for so-called renovations , this restaurant advertises a ' 'Brunch ' ' which is a regular breakfast menu. On this Sunday morning, there were few people and it took forever for the ' 'hostess ' ' to come and place us (as it did for other after us and they simply proceeded to a table. Not a clue as what she was up to butit certainly was NOT helping patrons!! . The food was very ordinary... View all feedback.
You can always depend on L'Académie for its quality food and service: escargots, moules, pâtes, ... excellent! Merci.
2 couples, 4 different appetites, shared tastes with all. Every single bite was great! Chicken, pork chops, pasta and beef.....not your average chain or cookie-cutter meals. Bring your own wine. Pleasantly helpful but non-intrusive service. Very happy to helpthe only Anglo moi... in the group! Lots of parking, outside entrance in mall so you can combine shopping with dining, but a nice evening just for dinner out. Will return next time in Montreal area!
Necessary to have a reservation on a Saturday night. Wow it was full and we had to sit upstairs where it was noisy and full. I had the ribs $33. and they were terrible, I returned half of them as they were cold. Never again. My partner had the sea food over pasta $35. only one lobster claw and very little other pieces of sea food, however the pasta was good. This restaurant in my opinion is very much overrated, the only good thing is you bring your own wine.

The food was very ordinary and certainly NOT worth the high price (approximately double what it is at the Breakfast Club next door . Service was normal from a student (nice guy but seriously lacking some training! Not worth the price. Not worth the trip! Go to the Breakfast Club in the same Champlain Mall and get excellent service at half the price!
This restaurant I always wanted to go but never went but finally my husband and daughter brought me for my birthday and I loved it. The food was delish ... the people were very friendly. Our waiter rocked it and I am really looking forward to going again soon. I recommend this restaurant definitely. Very happy and satisfied customer
