Contribute FeedbackValentine's Day at the restaurant was a mixed experience. While some guests were disappointed by the unexpected prix fixe menu and rushed service, others found the food to be very good and enjoyed a pleasant evening. Overall, the atmosphere was described as hectic but lighthearted, and the pricing was considered a bit high but justified by the quality of ingredients and unique dishes. The friendly staff, vast beer and wine selection, and delicious menu items, particularly the curried snails, grilled calamari, and hangar steak, left a positive impression. The restaurant's delivery service also received high praise for exceeding expectations.
We visited the restaurant during a time when fewer people were dining out due to COVID-19. Despite this, we had a delicious meal early on. Unfortunately, like many restaurants, the lights were dimmed at a certain point, which we found to be a tacky practice. This is not a consideration at some of the best restaurants where food is meant to be appreciated for both taste and presentation. We hope the owners will reconsider this practice. Perhaps they could survey the public to see if diners would still come if the lights were not dimmed. Personally, I would still visit for the good menu, but I do prefer to see my dinner companions and food clearly.
This restaurant serves the best French cuisine in the city - it's absolutely amazing!
My wife, Cynthia, and I celebrated Valentine's Day one day late because we had been traveling. Our dinner was excellent, the service was great, and we loved the wine selection. We will definitely be returning!
Location was really good, great atmosphere (albeit hectic, but semi-casual and lighthearted), and the food was really an awesome experience. The pricing is a little high but I felt the quality of ingredients and the unique dishes definitely stepped up to match it. Was a good evening!
Very nice dining experience. I went with my girlfriend, since we both have been meaning to try out the LES location. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The beer selection and wine selection is vast. We had the happy hour prefix menu. The portions were just right. The curried snails is a very delicious, earthy savory dish. The kohlrabi Kimchee has quite a heat tangy kick but pairs very well with grilled calamari. The grilled Octopus is juicy tender. The hangar steak was good perfectly medium rare, with a buttery rosemary gratin. Desserts are okay, the Apple fritters were quite dense, but there is no pastry chef so do not expect brilliant desserts. I will visit again
