Great experience and wonderful service. The pumpkin ravioli is dying. The General Manager and the staff always do a great job of one of my favorite places. Food is always fresh and good. So glad they have a new general manager, he's amazing. View all feedback.
What Armand Ritchie doesn't like about Bonefish Grill Ashburn:
I had heard bonefish grill was a nice restaurant. I was SORELY mistaken. It looked like a nice enough place. Looks can be deceiving. After dining at this restaurant with my girlfriend for the very first time, we were disappointed to have received an old, near expired, beverage, and upset to finally, after over 30 minutes of waiting for our meal after our order was taken, receive dry fish and beef entrees (one of whic... Love this restaurant! Have been going in for years, every week for Date Night. Food is always really good and the service is excellent! Jurelyn is the BEST server and always takes very good care of us. Knows our drinks, favorite meals, sides and overall preferences. The new manager, William, comes by and sees us every time we are there making us feel like we are part of the Bonefish family.
Food was delicious. Drinks were OK. Service started out great (we were at the tables in the bar area) but then our waiter disappeared for quite some time. My meal came out with the wrong fish he left it for me to enjoy the sides while he placed another order. When the right fish finally arrived, my friend and I had both finished our meals, so I took the other entree home. It was delicious the next day. Watch out for the gratuity help provided on the bottom of the bill ... 15%, 18% and 20%. We actually left a proper 20% gratuity, but it was less than what they had calculated as 15%.
I’ve generally had good food here but I have two complaints that are consistent. 1) They put peppers in too many dishes. Most restaurants that serve food of this quality and work this much on atmosphere, don’t feel the need to put peppers in everything. I draw the line at ahi poke and I didn’t get the corn chowder because I’m pretty sure there were peppers in it. That’s how you know it’s in too many dishes and left me without recourse (hehe,.. sorry, bad pun). 2) It’s just not good enough for the price. I’m tempted to apologize but when I think of all the times I’ve gone there, I realize that it has to be something at a higher level than the manager. Lot’s of people are happy with it. It must be the peppers.
I used to go to this Bonefish all the time, but it's really gone down hill my last few experiences. I got the stuffed flounder to go, my favorite, and the fish was spoiled, it smelled and tasted foul. I obviously didn't eat it and got refunded. My most recent 2 visits my food was bland as can be, and overcooked! At this point, they must have gotten new chefs, the quality is poor and the food is tasteless. I've had my last meal at this location.

After dining at this restaurant with my girlfriend for the very first time, we were disappointed to have received an old, near expired, beverage, and upset to finally, after over 30 minutes of waiting for our meal after our order was taken, receive dry fish and beef entrees (one of which gave her food poisoning). I will never eat here again. Don’t be lured in by the low prices for steak and other dishes. You may just end up paying for more than you bargained for.
