My reason for going was to listen to the Ed Cherry guitar trio. Their music was fantastic. The room is crowded with lots of walking back and forth to the food service area, that was a bit distracting for a serious music listener. The brunch buffet is outstanding, with many options for vegetarians and non meat eaters. Service was attentive coffee refills, water glasses refilled. View all feedback.
What EMILIE GUYONVARCH doesn't like about Cafe York:
My complaint here is that the menu is limited and that every side is an extra charge...Atmosphere is great, service was just ok I have been there for breakfast and service was ok but food selection great) View all feedback.

Always a winner, and dog-friendly also! They could step up replenishing the buffet a bit, but other than that, outstanding as usual!
As a long time resident of the neighborhood (30 years) and a previous patron of the buffet, I was not quite as satisfied as I have been in the past. Yes, the buffet looked good and there was a variety of choices. But, items were slow to be replenished. I had to ask for bagels for the fish display. How did the staff not notice it was empty for over ten minutes? However, for me personally, the most missing piece from this buffet was the peel and eat shrimp. When did they take that off the menu? I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but for $39.99 per person (alcohol not included), they ought to include it! The table staff was attentive to our needs. Although I am a fan of the Roxy Hotel, I probably be a very long time before I return for the buffet.

Everything was truly enjoyable except the service lagged. We loved our seats and appreciated the live music.
