Great Australian owned cafe in Greenwich Village serving great coffee fit for a Melburnian. Had poached eggs and grilled halloumi with a hot Americano and was not disappointed. Grateful for the recommendation so hope this helps someone else. View all feedback.
What Jack Philpott doesn't like about Banter Nyc West Village:
I had a truly disappointing experience at this brunch spot. First of all, the service was shockingly rude. We were practically pushed out into the pouring rain without even a moment's grace to wait for our cab under cover. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to suggest a minimum tip of 20%, which I found ridiculous given the quality of service we received. The seating was incredibly cramped, making it uncomfor... Warning! The service was rude. It was raining outside and they are pushing ppl who just finished dining into the rain, with a very rude attitude. Definitely not recommended. There are other better options in the neighborhood and you deserve better. Btw, we tipped very normally (22% but still got pushed out into the rain. The food is normal, nothing impressive.

Latte art was good. Food was nothing more than mediocre. Given the low quality of coffee, giving 2 stars, otherwise 3 stars.Save yourself the trouble and explore other dining options nearby; there are plenty of better choices in the area.
A perfect, cozy brunch spot located in a charming neighborhood. Fresh ingredients shine in every item on the thoughtfully created menu. Grab an outdoor table enjoy the buzz of the quaint surroundings. The freshly pressed juices are a must try.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch a couple weekends back! The staff was so nice and happy to help answer any questions we had and the design was so fun and relaxed! You can tell all the staff really love what they do! Looking forward to another mouth watering lunch soon!
