Pivni Opice - Brnenec

I can only recommend Pivní opice. Yesterday's gathering with friends over good beer was great thanks to the quick and smiling service. I will definitely be happy to come back here soon.

Okay so they have decent burgers. What else? Nothing! Svijany and Poutnik are pretty much what I'd expect as the bare minimum of any self respecting pub, alas, neither are something to call home about. Why this establishment is rated so highly is truly beyond me is it a pub or bar, a restaurant or a traditional Czech cuisine restaurant? It's the usual answer: a little bit of everything. It's confusing to find carpaccio, caprese or lasagne or salmon dishes alongside traditional Czech meals and then... burgers! That kind of variety is a catch all, please all type of menu found all too often and I have a hard time supporting such established gastronomical behavior trim your menu and up your quality. They weren't even capable of serving decent finger food such as cheese balls (nivove koule). To be fair, only reason Pivni Opice scratched a bonus 0.5 points in my rating of for the decent burgers and central location. Otherwise very average. Non smoker beware, you will find a small secluded non smoking nook, otherwise it is quite cloudy in here.

When you step inside, at first, second, and third glance, it seems so small here that you actually know for sure that you won't sit here. And then you realize that not only will you sit, but you won't want to leave. It's not really a place for romantic declarations of love, because you probably wouldn't be heard, but on the other hand, some things can be heard multiple times...

Monkey is the ideal place when you want to grab a beer, chat, have something unhealthy, and don't expect any gourmet experience. The great advantage is the location, extremely fast service, wide selection, and a chef who simply knows how to pair the snacks with beer. It's not for a romantic anniversary dinner, but that doesn't matter. One gladly returns here, mainly for hanging out with friends. Definitely one of the better pubs in my opinion. I recommend it.

Bohuzial bol asi zalubeny kuchar lebo hranolky boli chrumkave a dost olejove co skazilo chut za to stiahnuty bod dole. Neskory obed sme zakoncili velmi chutnou kavickou Urcite sa sem pri buducej navsteve Brna vratime a s radostou dam 5b
