The Catbird Seat Bistro - Brisbane

Me and my wife have been in this little cosy restaurant for lunch. Driven from the good reviews. We chosen the 2 courses option. One starter to share, the pig head terrine. She've had the mushroom homemade potato gnocchi with truffle for main and I've had the Grim beef rump on truffle cabbage and the duck fat potatoes as side. All matched with a good glass fo whine and a great service.Ours favorite plate? Everything, everything was delicious, right cooked and right presented. But I want spend one more word for the gnocchi, simply amazing, the best I ever had! Said by Italians who love good food!

This restaurant was a great find. Went here with a friend, and the food was great. Nice, small and cosy restaurant. Great service and feel very welcomed. Would highly recommend for anyone.

Had dinner here with friends the other night. We were so impressed. I had a pasta dish with Gorgonzola and it was superb. For dessert I had the lemon meringue mousse which was one of the most memorable desserts I have had in a very long time. My friend has a cheese selection - excellent. The wine list was great and reasonable (we choose from their 'last bottles' list. Service was faultless. Definitely returning here.

Catbird Seat - it's an intriguing name (with a story), the restaurant is restfully and tastefully furnished, and the meals are an absolute adventure for the tastebuds. The menu is very select, and we chose entrees, mains and desserts. What a delight! Every mouthful was amazing and delicious, and respectful silences fell at our table with each course! Really fine dining, with our thanks and congratulations to the chefs. Our party has travelled widely and eaten at many fine restaurants, and the Catbird Seat is right at the top for a genuine and delicious evening with good friends and fine food.
