What Clemens O'Kon doesn't like about Brown Dog Café:
Considering the high reviews I was quite disappointed with my experience here. The menu is short and simple and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you can pull off the meals. Had the stroganoff (think it was in the specials) which was average. The coffee was good but nothing special to remember. I give them 3 stars because although the food was average the customer service was excellent, staff were very frie... View all feedback.
Have not been back over four years. I do miss the dog statue near the front door. Walked in and found that it is as busy as before but looks more spacious. Ordered a coffee and croissant with ham cheese.<br/ Coffee came first with very fine latte art, which made the whole drink very attractive. Taste and strength are no doubt the best. <br/ Croissant also shed its light on my brekkie. Carefully warmed up croissant sitting on a wooden broad with perfect preparation. Bingo!<br/ This brekkie is simple but certainly deserves full mark.<br/ <br/ Last visit: July 25, 2015 Rating 4/5

Good food, great service and smooth coffee. Do not expect anything amazingly beautiful on a super expensive plate. The food is simple, flavoursome and quick. All the staff are super friendly and efficient.
Confident I was going to find a park, I travelled to Woolloongabba to try out Brown Dog Cafe. As I make an arrival, all the street parking was full... so I decided to wait around and luckily got a space near the cafe <br/ <br/ Brown Dog Cafe gives out some rustic vibes. Furnished with some pastel coloured wooden tables and paired with tarnished chairs, it introduces a somewhat relaxing feel. Looking into their well layout menu, there were traditional breakfast choices on offer otherwise you might be interested in their 'Today 's Special ' board that 's hung near the entrance of the cafe. I went ahead and ordered the Breakfast Bagel. My caffeinated beverage consisted of a Flat White today.<br/ <br/ Coffee Presented with a thin layer of smooth froth, a good brew and served hot.<br/ <br/ Food My Bagel was covered with Sesame Seeds and served with Bacon, Fried Egg, Swiss Cheese, Rocket and Tomato Relish (Added Avocado fro $2.00 . The tomato relish had a mild spicy flavour. The Swiss cheese was fully melted and mixed in with the relish perfectly. Fresh rockets were then layered on top followed by 3 layers of nicely cooked bacon. Tasty ripe avocado and finished off with a beautifully cooked fried egg <br/ <br/ A cafe accompanied by friendly staff : <br/ <br/ Thank you, Brown Dog Cafe.
