Morelli Zorelli - Brighton and Hove

After being disappointed by another restaurant at the last minute, we spent the late afternoon searching for a good place for six on a weekend night. We were pleased to be able to get into Morelli Zorelli after seeing its good reviews. The restaurant, with hidden dining space downstairs, may be small and no-frills, but it more than makes up for it with great hospitality and even greater food. Our table was near the door, which was a concern on a chilly night, but we were quickly warmed by the friendly welcome and vibe. We started with shared garlic bread and olives, which were delicious, especially when topped with melted mozzarella. The real stars of the show, however, were our pizza mains. My slightly modified capricciosa was absolutely delicious and easily devoured. The rest of our party also had positive things to say about their dishes. The drinks menu featured authentic Italian lagers, affordable Italian wines, and tasty cocktails, including excellent espresso martinis. The service was friendly, attentive, and informal, with the smiling chef even treating us to complimentary limoncellos. We had a great time with my friends at this restaurant. The staff was efficient and friendly, and the pizzas were excellent. I highly recommend this place!

The hosts at this restaurant were incredibly welcoming and served amazing pizza! We chose to dine here because our daughter has a gluten intolerance and we were not let down. The pizza was made with lovely fresh ingredients and served in a cozy atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly, engaging in conversation and spending time with us. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Morelli Zorelli has been myself and my friends' go to for delivery for years, their menu is great and the food is always spot on. Today, a group of us sat in and ate there (my first time and WOW it was amazing. They had great draught beer (which you can get in a 5 litre fountain apparently! , a nice selection of wine and cocktails, alcohol free options and a huge selection of soft drinks. In our group, we had two vegans, a vegetarian, a gluten free guest, and three meat lovers and we were all blown away by our meals. They have a huge vegan menu, and also gluten free bases. The service was faultless, we were a big group with complicated dietary needs, which were all catered for with care. Our waitress was lovely, and food arrived promptly. Apparently they use a slightly different method to cook the pizzas for takeaway and in the restaurant I think due to how it travels both are incredible, but the pizzas we had tonight were seriously indescribable, so authentic and clearly made with top quality ingredients. I don't live very close so I'd never thought to visit, but after tonight's meal I will be making the effort to return regularly, and let everyone I know about it too!

Fantastic pizza, super tasty with a great crust. Really friendly team and I’m definitely coming back next time I am nearby. Lovely draft lager too.
