Friendly staff. Didn’t get very far before a staff member asked us what we were looking for, stopped what he was doing, and helped us with directions. The man at the deli seemed to be putting on a show and had people on-line laughing, seemingly in a genuinely and contagiously good mood. A normal $100 grocery haul was $180 here which didn’t surprise me because of the area. View all feedback.
What R M doesn't like about King Kullen:
Update: 8/15/23 OK why was I not surprised when after purchasing a homemade chicken pot pie from King Kullen, I discovered a live German roach in the wrapped packaging after opening it? Needless to say the whole pie went immediately into the garbage. Is this going to be a recurring problem? Apparently yes. View all feedback.
Today I was at King kullen in Bridgehampton. my purchase was about 23 dollars. I asked the cashier Robin, if I could pay with coins since I had a lot of quarters. he didnt say anything, but it was clear that he was not happy .an African-American woman, most likely from Jamaica, immediately approached me. She started telling me that I couldnt pay for my purchase this way and told me to go to the selfpay machine.she was very rude and raised her voice a lot.I asked the supervisor what the reason was since I was faced with such ignorance for the first time. he answered to the cashier that this is money and they cant refuse me like that. it was clear that the cashier Robin was too lazy to count the money and with a heavy sigh began to count slowly. I offered him my help because perhaps he needs to undergo training. The name of this woman if Im not mistaken is Dewn, when I asked her name she brazenly laughed in my face and asked why I was asking her name, although this is my right as a client. she laughed brazenly in my face..what kind of service is this where store employees laugh at customers, tell them how to pay for a purchase and discriminate because I paid for the purchase at $23 in quarters. If King Kullen does not accept this type of payment, then this information should be provided to customers. This 0 tolerance discriminating customers.I always went to this store because it is located near my house. But after such service I will prefer other stores at a further distance
I love the fact that whatever I need for my Grandma, they have like chunks and raw macadamia nuts!
It's sad to see this store and remember how it was before, although searching you can still find some good things at a good price
Much cheaper than the Stop and Shop in Southampton. Better selection and two people can fit down the aisles at the same time.
