What Laura Cornet doesn't like about Carmel Cafe:
I want to say that my experience was disappointing, but it was actually just mediocre. On the positive side, they use stoneware cups and plates, which I appreciate, and the service was pleasant. However, there were some significant flaws. I ordered a cup of coffee and a mandel croissant, which they heated up—was it in a microwave? They didn't ask me how I preferred it, which resulted in a less-than-fluffy croissant.... View all feedback.

However, there were some significant flaws. I ordered a cup of coffee and a mandel croissant, which they heated up—was it in a microwave? They didn't ask me how I preferred it, which resulted in a less-than-fluffy croissant. My mom ordered the smoked salmon bagel, but the salmon was cut thick and had a distinctly salty flavor, while the cream cheese was very sparse. This was a missed opportunity to balance out the saltiness with a more generous spread. It's such a shame that they prioritized cost over quality and taste, especially since their pricing doesn’t reflect those choices.
This restaurant has been on my must-visit list for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to go during lunch. They mostly serve breakfast and lunch, offering a variety of options including coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, and soups, as well as freshly baked cakes. The staff was incredibly friendly and took my order immediately. I chose the sugar-free hazelnut latte and a cherry chocolate turnover. The turnover was incredibly flaky and buttery, with a delicious filling that was both sweet and tart. The latte was super creamy and served piping hot. I absolutely love this place!
My friend and I visited Carmel Cafe, and we absolutely loved it! I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, which was pressed in a panini maker, and it was delicious. My friend tried the pesto avocado toast and enjoyed it just as much. We also sampled the cake balls, which were quite tasty – a bit doughy, but full of flavor. We will definitely be returning!
The personal is super friendly and attentive. eating is great, first timer and definitiw I come back!
