The name has actually changed to Ronnie's WoodFire Pizza so hopefully that gets fixed on here soon :). Ronnies is honestly the best pizza I've ever had, and they always have new pizzas on the menu to try out. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions as well (I'm vegan and never have a problem eating here). The pizza is more expensive than your regular pizza joint but it's also 10x better. Just 5 min west of Bracebridge off 118, this little pizza place is a gem to find! Fresh ingredients on a delicious thin crust. Pick up a couple as the slices will disappear fast if you have some people to share it with!
We ordered two pizza's to go. A few things to note. The first is that no garland stove can replace the process of a wood fired oven. They are two different things and if you are wondering about the renaissance over pizza's in the past few years (Terroni, Labretta, etc.) - wood fired is the essential foundation. The second is that they know how to dress a pizza. All fired up dresses each pizza perfectly. My wife had one with buffalo mozzarella and I had a spicy sausage pizza each with the perfect balance of olive oil, spices, tomato, cheese and other ingredients. I considered it to be one of the finest pizza's I had in a long time and certainly outstanding against some of the venerable restaurants in Toronto serving similar fare.If you like think crust wood fired pizza that might be a little more costly than the standard pizza counter pizza I would recommend the leap. This is just a different kind of meal and I give it big marks for keeping it real. I think the street presence is weak and one of the reasons it took about six years of driving past it before we decided to try it. But now that we have, it will remain on our "must" list.

Brad at North Ridge Dog sledding recommended this place to us after a day of sledding. Two 14 year boys and 2 moms - we devoured 3 pizzas! Not your traditional toppings - suited me perfectly! Actually a take out place but we sat at the only table in the place and loved it! Great music - jazz - Ronnie and I had a "name that singer" - I lost - and I loved it! Sour dough thin crust - roasted grapes, roasted pear, homemade pesto - home cured meats - you will not want to miss this - you may never be the same!
