My husband and I had lunch there the other day. Salad roll and a sandwich. We were impressed by the staff who took the trouble to clearly convey what was available. Lovely fresh bread and ingredients. A clean and fresh looking cafe area. The shop area bustled with customers while we were there: a good sign. Staff looked fresh in their clean white shirts. Interesting info on the walls about the long history of the bak... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jochheims Pies:
On arrival in Bowen we decided to have a quick lunch before going to our van park. I cannot believe how expensive this bakery is compared to other years. Been in Bowen 3 weeks and haven't been back, I don't think a loaf of bread is worth $5.50. Was also shocked at the pie prices. You've lost us. Lyn M View all feedback.

Went here today for a coffee and found the staff to be very friendly and the coffee was great ,it was also good to see they had some mini apple turnovers just a nice size when you only want something small to go with your coffee .
Went here with my two grandsons today and staff were so friendly, even when the little fella spilt his milk. They enjoyed their pies and cake and my coffee was lovely. Also made use of the convenient and clean bathroom. Can recommend this local business to everyone. Oh and they have a baker with a flair for French pastries, you have to try the custard filled donuts!
Nice food and eatery area, beautiful photos and antique pastry roller and work bench with lovely indoor plants. Pies were slightly more expensive than we would have liked, but cheaper, good coffee made up for it. I would just say Dining in on paper plates isn't the best for sustainability. A biodegradable alternative would be a preference if you have to use disposable
