What TheAntiqueVegan doesn't like about Mad Cucumber:
This used to be my favorite place in Bournemouth since their doors opened in 2013, however we had a bad dining experience a couple weeks ago. Despite having the entire place to ourselves, the service was very ‘matter of fact’ with no friendliness. They have removed longstanding classics from the menu and aren’t willing to do even the quick, simple ones despite having all the ingredients and being offered more money t... View all feedback.
As a new vegan, I still explore recipes and meals while discovering all the best local vegan caffes and restaurants and the mad cucumber not disappointed! very friendly staff, wonderful furnishings and warm feeling. I and my friend (also new vegan) visited 9 april on Saturday for a lunch business. I had the marinated tofu with satay sauce (as a peanut butter addict) and my friend had the bean burger with wedges on the side. we were both very impressed by our dressed, very tasty, full of taste and a good part. the price was also very reasonable considering that many vegan venues charge very high prices. the personal was so friendly and accommodating and our visit was one that I would repeat again and again.
Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. two of our meals were delicious, but the makkaroni cheese was almost cold. I asked my son to send him back, but he refused. I'm sure this would have been done if the restaurant had the opportunity, so I won't let myself get rid of it. the nut roast was delicious!
Visited the mad cucumber during a weekend stay in bournemouth. although none of us are vegan/ vegetarian, we decided to try. the food and cake was absolutely delicious. the personal was friendly and the decor and ambiente was so welcoming.
My partner and I stopped at the Mad Cucumber for breakfast during our weekend away in Bournemouth. We’re trying to cut down on our meat consumption but we’re not vegan. Even so, the food options were appealing even to non strictly plant based eaters! My...partner had a full English whilst I went for something more adventurous a carrot based “smoked salmon” open sandwich, which didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and staff are friendly. I would recommend the Mad Cucumber to anyone and would love to be back for dinner some other time.
I popped in whilst in B town.. and my gossshhhhh i'm glad i did! The guys in there were friendly and welcoming, the decor was lush and the carrot cake was INSANE!!!!!!!! definitely. Get. Some.!!
