Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews, with notable highlights being the friendly and accommodating staff, tasty fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. However, there were also criticisms about slow service, small portion sizes, lackluster mac and cheese, and undercooked hush puppies. The atmosphere was praised as cool and fun, but disorganization among staff members was mentioned. Overall, the experience seemed to vary greatly depending on individual visits, with some patrons enjoying the food and vibe, while others were less impressed and encountered service issues.
Brunch Review: While the brunch menu is limited, the available elements are really very good. The roasted chicken, available in classic and hot, is very juicy and the coating is crispy and crispy without getting through hard. We ordered the hot version and while it definitely spices, the good taste added, I wouldn't call it sharp. Pepper vinegar available on each table is really good with it. This blend, along with pimples, add some beautiful depth, tar and acid to the chicken. The cookies and Gravy were not exactly what I expected, that is not necessarily a bad thing. The smoked pig and engraving and very tasteful, without being excessively rich, or hard as a white, sausage engraving can be. The cookies themselves are fluffy and surprisingly light. A beautiful supplement are the green onions that cut through the engraving and add some beautiful texture. I don't have much experience with Pimento cheese, but the taste and texture of the Pimento cheese goes very nice with the popovers. The Pimento cheese also tastes very well on the cookies. I was a bit skeptical of a $5 hash Brown that was described as “kinda like a McDonald’s hash Brown”, but I’m glad I got it. It's not like a McDonald's Hash Brown. Absolutely. The outside is very sharp, while the inside remains moist. The texture of the potato is very fine and very delicate, which is a beautiful contrast to the outside. All in all, a really great meal with excellent service. Our server went out of her way to inform us that she had read the note in our reservation about food allergies and asked us if she could answer our questions before we ordered. The room itself is also very beautiful; more spacious than expected, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. Definitely worth a visit.
This place is absolutely dripping in toughness. The food here is overwhelmingly delicious to really please them. My friend knows that I'm a foodie and self-announced food critic, so when he surprised me for the weekend on a small road trip to Boston, I didn't even think about the food choices that I just assumed Boston didn't offer much wise. But boy I was wrong. He found this place online and surprised me with a visit I doubted his choice first, but I am so glad we went. The ambience is very beautiful, really clean and spacious location. The host is really nice and committed. There is also an outdoor area that we have chosen. The next time we don't know, we're gonna go back, we tried a little bit if everything. The sticky bungalow was ridiculously delicious as if it were a crime for food to be so good. It was so warm flaky sweet and crisp, it was all! The hot chicken I had very eager to have was yum from this world. So juicy on the inside beautiful and crispy on the outside filled with tons of taste, sharp in a delicious way. And the bread pudding oh the bread pudding... why can I have it every day! Bless the hands that work here and make this food. The bread pudding was warm and embroidered with ice cream and a delicious honey type of thing. And the waffle was great that I love waffles and didn't like this. The breakfast sandwich we had was also very good to say unnecessarily that we enjoyed everything we ate here. And the products they use are also a winner many organic types of things I could appreciate. This place is definitely made southern food right.
Enjoyed the experience. Server was great. My party of 6 had tea fried chicken, wings, chicken sandwich, geese, crowned greens, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, corn bread. We liked everything, but the Mac and the Cheese. Drinks were great.
Great staff! There on a Monday night at 1830 and it was almost empty. Fried chicken sandwich was really good. I got the hot version and I wasn't so sharp. Was there for her happy hour, so chicken sandwich was $5. Recommend to get it! Drinks were good. Had the tequila-based drink and the rum drink (Run Forrest Run or something). Rum drink was good and not too sweet. Try your drinks. On the other hand, Mac and cheese was NOT good. Felt like a cheap noodle and cheese. Not even for $6. Skip everything together and order their other articles.
I got the classic chicken half regular and half spicy and it was really good. The sweet sauce is delicious. It is a bit pricey for 4 pieces, maybe adding a one more piece will make up for the price. I would want to go again to try other dishes. Staff are amazing.
