In Boston for the weekend, decided to check it out. Place was not busy at all, the hostess, which happens to be our waitress, was great! Place does most of its business from take out orders. As for the food, very good, it's made fresh. The Mofongo was the best I've had! View all feedback.
By far one of the best family owned restaurants in Dorchester! The staff is attentive, helpful and always creates a warm inviting environment. The food is delicious and reasonable priced, totally worth the 40 minute commute once a week from the south shore.

This is a hidden gem in Uphams Corner. The restaurant is owned and managed by an entrepreneurial mom/son pair. Ramon is very welcoming and eager to teach you about the cuisine. Despite the limited staff, the menu is tremendous and all of it is SO good. Kick back, have a beer, watch TV, listen to soft music, and enjoy the large portions of yellow rice, red beans, plátanos, seasoned meats, salad, and more. I love this place!
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, tasty food. I suspect that they have no vegetarian options, or very few. I wouldn't cross the city for it, but might come back if I was in the area.
Absolutely delicious, excellent portions! The yellow rice with red beans and pork ribs are great : friendly staff.
