Small and thiny restaurant. Very clean, food was fresh and delicious. We were only two in the restaurant i think the workers were busy preparing food for delivery, anyway the servis was fast. I enjoyed a House Ramen extremely delicious!!!We had a little problem with a parking , probably because of St. Patrick weekend, but it seems to me this is a usual situation for Boston. What Zaraid J doesn't like about Blue Yama:
Flavors 3.2/5Textures 2/5Presentation 4/5Value for Money 3.5/5Would return? No Must try: spicy tonkotsuCreative ideas and generous portions, but poor execution. I tried lobster ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and five spice roast beef. The broth for all 3 had a great flavor, was very complex and well seasoned. I wasn't a fan of the noodles because they were too thick, and felt heavy, and starchy. The pieces of pork in the ton... View all feedback.
Bad experience ??. I love asian food and seek it out all over Boston. I walked in Blue Yama noticing the restaurant was empty on a Saturday afternoon during peak lunch hour. Didn?t think too much about it. The manager was cordial and I ordered garlic chicken noodles. The food was served within in 10 minutes. I was impressed but had suspicions at the first sight of the food. It looked merely microwaved. After a few bites it was evident that I could have cooked better foodin my microwave with store bought noodles and sauce. Chicken had a texture of microwaved frozen chicken. Half way through, I pull a hair out of the noodles. I was done right there. Overall, it was a bad food experience and it breaks myheart to give such bad review to a local small business, realizing how important they are to our micro-economy. Hopefully, they take this as a constructive criticism and improve, if they really care for the paying customers.
Amazing tasty ramen. The broth is not as thick as usual ramen, but is really tasty and worth the price. Portion size is perfect, notbtoo small not too big. I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Great location, cheap and yummy ramen.
Small cozy restaurant with the vibe of eating in your friend's living room. The owners are very friendly. I recommend the soupless spicy ramen.
Great casual food! Got a crab roll $5.99) and lobster garlic noodles $17.99) both were great but the crab roll was awesome it?s imitation crab of course). Filling and inexpensive. It?s casual inside
Blue Yama was a lovely surprise. I live close by and had no idea such a great restaurant was here. The tonkontsu ramen and chicken wontons were excellent but the star of the show was the garlic noodles with lobster. Very generous portions of lobster knuckle meat and exceptional garlic and soy noodles that rival any San Francisco garlic noodles with crab. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
